PBeauty Haircare Guide
Beautiful hair starts with great care.
Whether you're wearing our wigs, weft or tape-in extensions, the right care can help maintain the quality, appearance and longevity of your hair.
And while you're taking care of your PBeauty Hair, don't forget that the most important thing is to take care of your natural hair underneath.
WIG CARE
Lace Front Wigs
Wash with care
Wash your wig when needed using lukewarm water and a gentle shampoo. Avoid excessive rubbing, twisting or scrubbing.
Condition the lengths
Apply conditioner mainly through the lengths and ends. Be gentle around the lace and knots.
Protect your lace
Lace is delicate. Avoid excessive pulling, scratching or rough handling when applying, removing or styling your wig.
Use heat responsibly
Only apply heat if your wig is stated to be heat-resistant. Always follow the temperature guidance provided for your specific wig and use a heat protectant where suitable.
Store it properly
When you're not wearing your wig, gently detangle it and store it on a wig stand or in suitable protective packaging to help maintain its shape and reduce tangling.
NO-LACE WIG CARE
No-lace wigs are designed to make styling simple, but they still deserve the same care.
-
Gently detangle from the ends upwards.
-
Wash only when needed to avoid unnecessary product build-up.
-
Avoid sleeping or showering in your wig.
-
Keep away from excessive heat unless the product is specifically heat-resistant.
-
Store neatly when you're not wearing it.
TIP: Over-styling and excessive product can make wigs feel heavier and reduce their natural movement. Sometimes, less really is more.
HUMAN HAIR EXTENSION CARE
Wefts
Wash gently
Use a suitable shampoo and conditioner and avoid aggressive rubbing or tangling during washing.
Keep your attachments clean
Cleanse your scalp carefully while wearing your extensions and make sure the hair and attachment areas are properly dried after washing.
Detangle daily
Hold/support the hair near the attachment and gently brush from the ends upwards to reduce unnecessary pulling.
Protect at night
Loosely braid or secure your extensions before sleeping. A satin or silk bonnet or pillowcase can also help reduce friction.
Keep up with maintenance
Attend your recommended maintenance or refit appointments. Extensions shouldn't be left indefinitely as your natural hair continues to grow.
Tape-In Extensions
Tape-ins require a little extra attention around the attachment.
Avoid oils around the tapes
Keep oils, heavy conditioners and oily styling products away from the tape attachment area as they may affect the bond.
Wash carefully
Cleanse your scalp gently without aggressively rubbing the tapes together. Apply conditioner mainly to the mid-lengths and ends rather than directly over the tape bonds.
Dry your tapes properly
Don't leave your tape attachments continuously damp after washing. Carefully dry the attachment area as well as the lengths of your hair.
Brush with care
Support your hair around the attachment area while brushing and avoid pulling directly against the tapes.
Never pull out loose tapes
If a tape begins to slip or loosen, don't pull it from your natural hair. Keep the extension and have it professionally removed or reapplied.
YOUR NATURAL HAIR MATTERS TOO
Wigs and extensions can transform your look, but healthy natural hair should always remain a priority.
Your natural hair still needs care even when you can't see it.
Keep Your Scalp & Hair Clean
Continue cleansing your scalp and natural hair appropriately while wearing protective styles. Product, oils and general build-up shouldn't simply be left underneath your wig or extensions.
Keep Your Hair Moisturised
Don't neglect your natural hair because it's tucked away. Maintaining appropriate moisture and conditioning can help reduce dryness and breakage.
Avoid Excessive Tension
Your wig, braids, wefts or extensions should not feel painfully tight.
Repeated tension and pulling can damage the hair and, over time, contribute to traction alopecia.
Pay particular attention to your hairline and edges, where repeated tension and friction can cause damage.
Give Your Hair Some TLC
Between installs, take the opportunity to properly cleanse, condition, detangle and assess your natural hair and scalp.
Your protective style shouldn't mean forgetting about the hair you're protecting.
THE PBH CARE RULES
1. Cleanse
Keep both your PBeauty Hair and natural hair clean without over-washing.

Pain, excessive tension, unusual shedding, scalp irritation or persistent discomfort shouldn't be ignored.
